Share, respond, enjoy
You write a few words about what you feel like doing, perhaps a coffee, a walk or a conversation in a foreign language, and add a way to recognise you. The app shows your share to people nearby who have time right now.
You see them in the same way. Whoever is interested responds with a single tap, and it is up to you whether you accept.
An arrangement without needless typing
The app leads both sides to a quick agreement: who comes to whom and how you will recognise each other. The overview of interested people shows who you have agreed with and who is waiting for an answer.
Notifications at the right moment
The app lets you know when someone responds to you, when the state of your share changes and when someone new appears nearby. A running share with a countdown of the remaining time is visible on the lock screen as well.
Privacy as the default
Timity requires neither registration nor an e-mail address. Your share is seen only by people nearby and only while you keep it switched on. You can switch it off at any time.
Communication between nearby phones runs over Bluetooth and no permanent identifier is stored in the process. The app uses location only when extended range is switched on, and then only as an approximate area, anonymously and without permanent storage. The camera serves only to read QR codes and the image never leaves the phone.
