Causa Mortis

Length of a case
5–15 minutes

One case, one accusation

Every case is a self-contained logic puzzle. The player studies testimonies, documents and clues, marks the places that contradict each other and finally accuses one of the suspects. There is no second attempt, so attention decides, not trial and error.

All players solve the same case on the same day. The result can be shared without giving the solution away.

Three case formats

The formats alternate to keep the game varied. In interrogations, witness testimonies are compared with physical evidence to find out who is lying. In timelines, a sequence of events is pieced together to find the moment that does not fit. In case files, the player works with documents and records.

A reason to come back

The game keeps track of streaks of solved cases, ranks and a daily and weekly leaderboard. A case can be started without an account; signing in is needed only to submit an accusation and appear on the leaderboard.
